Horse Rescue Fund

The main aim of the Horse Rescue Fund is to alleviate the suffering of any ill-treated or neglected equines, bring them back to health and, if possible, back into work. We then rehome them, on loan, in approved homes. We never sell our rescued horses but we do most firmly believe that they are more content and happier leading a fulfilled life, with individual care and attention in a private home. We have many horses, ponies and donkeys out in adoptive homes, with more to follow in their footsteps at present under rehabilitation at Woodstock Farm.

Border Collie Trust

Our work can be summed up in a few words - Rescuing and re-homing Border Collies and collie crosses throughout the UK, but of course there's much more to that simple phrase. On average we have between 30 and 40 dogs at our centre and unfortunately always have a waiting list for dogs needing our help. The calls can come from other rescues who may be finding it difficult to home a collie in their area, to those rescues who take in strays and may have anything from one to ten collies needing help quickly. And of course individual owners contact us who for a vast array of reasons can no longer care for their collie.

Initiative Blue

Around 8 million metric tons of plastic pollution enters our oceans every year and the result is causing complete devastation to the millions of marine animals that inhabit them. Whales are ingesting huge amounts of plastic every time they feed, sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and as a result die a slow and painful death. Seals and sea lions are being strangled by plastic fishing rope and dolphins fins are being severed by plastic fishing line. Every marine animal you can think of including sea birds are being affected by the mass pollution of single-use plastic. The struggle is REAL, Help us help them.

Animal Rescue

Soccorso Animali ONLUS is a no-profit organization that operate in Sicily, Catania, since 2010 . The founder, Dr. Mauro Mazzari , is a veterinarian who has dedicated his life for the last 25 years to the care of cats and dogs. The charity main object is to care for the less fortunate stray animals (mainly cats and dogs) either on the street or in disadvantaged families who wouldn’t otherwise be able to take their beloved pet to a vet service. Most of these animals leave in the streets or are kept in lager-kennels. The Charity also promotes the pet adoption and offer educational support to school in the area.

Pro dogs

Working across the UK, Pro Dogs Direct became a registered Charity in 2006, although we had been part of the national charity Pro Dogs for about 10 years prior to that. When Pro Dogs closed it doors we decided to keep Pro Dogs re-homing going. We felt there was a need for dogs to be re-homed without going into kennels; that is why we added Direct to our name.
